We recently sat down for a chat with a hen who ventured out to the Southern Highlands for a hens weekend getaway! Here’s what she had to say…
Describe your itinerary for the weekend.
We got into Bowral in the afternoon and checked into the cutest little B&B style accommodation. Then it was dinner and drinks. On the Saturday, we did some exploring, which was so much fun. I’d never been there before. We then spent the late afternoon doing a Hens Treasure Hunt which got us in the mood to keep dancing into the night. Sunday we slept in and did some more exploring before heading back!
What were the highlights?
We went to a few lookouts on the Sunday which were so beautiful. Saturday was so much fun, in between the Treasure Hunt and the local pubs and so many cute guys. It’s such a friendly place. I definitely prefer it to the city. I’d love to go back with my husband now.
What would you do differently?
Stay for longer! There seemed to be lots of surrounding areas that would be cool to check out. Absolutely no regrets though, we had the best time.
Would you recommend Hens Treasure Hunt to other brides-to-be?
Definitely. Even just doing that alone would’ve been a lot of fun, but adding on other stuff was really good too, plus getting away from the city for a bit… I’d highly recommend it.
